Title: Exploring the Impact of COVID-19 on Attachment, Life Satisfaction, and Anxiety in
Presenter: Dr. Fatemeh Mirzadeh
Project Necessity Summary: The research explores the phaysical, mental, and emotional changes experienced by older adults, which can lead to crises affecting families and society. Over 80% of older adults face disorders related to physical, mental, psychological, or social issues. Aging is a strong predictor of functional decline and mortality, with feelings about aging linked to high attachment, life dissatisfaction, and anxiety. Factors influencing anxiety in older adults include social rejection, fear of aging, life dissatisfaction, attachment to people or places, and concerns about diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or COVID-19. This is a retrospective cross sectional and observational study. It includes individuals aged 60 and above, with and without a history of COVID-19.
